Privacy

Comicbox stores your collection locally on your device via PouchDB and syncs it to your personal database on our servers via CouchDB. Your collection data is yours.

We never sell your collection, your reading habits, or your wishlist. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this app.

What we store

• Your account credentials (email, hashed password) for sign-in.
• Your collection and wishlist documents, replicated between your device and your personal CouchDB user database.
• Session tokens, kept in a secure cookie until you sign out.

What we don't store

• The barcode and cover scans you take. Identification happens in your browser; we never see the image after the match runs.
• Analytics that tie page views back to your account.
